Hi, I’m Monika
A Bay Area native with 20 + years of fashion retail experience. I’ve spent the last two decades styling men and women while supporting and leading teams for Gucci, James Perse, and A.P.C. among other celebrated brands. I mostly did business-y things as a manager and store operator, but my heart belonged to the fun, creative work like visual merchandising and personal styling.
Sadly, working in retail meant I missed out on weekends, long vacations, holidays, and other important events in my life. This became even more clear when my son was born in March 2019. Then a year later, almost to the day, a pandemic rocked our world! I left my job to care for my one-year-old son and while navigating this new role, I lost my fashion identity and struggled to get dressed daily. I eventually made the commitment to rediscover who I’d become, edit my closet and adjust accordingly.
And while that was an incredibly challenging time in all of our lives, I was fortunate enough to find a silver lining. It allowed me to have the mental space and time to really think about what I wanted to accomplish in the next phase of my career. So I took a leap of faith and started my own company where I was able to do the work that I love but on a much more personal level and with the creative freedom I’ve always wanted.
